Lone Star James Bond 007 Toy Cap Gun & Holster circa 1960s

Collecting Collectables has for sale this wonderful early piece of James Bond memorabilia from the 1960s. From the colour of the gun it could be that this gun is from 1965 to promote the James Bond film Goldfinger, starring Sean Connery as James Bond.

The gun is made from a heavy metal with a plastic handle. Extensive rubbing to the barrel and other places to the gun and the cap compartment is permanently open and needs attention.

The gun has the impressed marks of "JAMES BOND", "Lone Star" and "Automatic"

The holster bears the 007 insignia with silver coloured studs (missing one and rusting to the back) and clasp for the gun (cannot close when gun in holster - not sure if this was the case at time of production - possibly not), and the strap has wear. The belt-type holster may have been altered at some point (we are not certain). No buckle to fasten the holster.

James Bond guns and holsters from this period are rarely encountered. Despite the defects (some of which may be able to be corrected such as re-painting, etc) this is still a very collectable example
